He currently has multiple appointments as a chair or co-trustee of schemes ranging from £30m to £4bn and is a co-opted member of the pension committee of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. He chairs the pension committee of the Church of England Pension Board responsible for three very complex pension funds and a large housing charity.

Richard started his career in engineering in a large multi-national before moving through multiple commercial, corporate finance and investment decision making roles. Outside pensions Richard’s other roles include membership of the advisory committee of an energy company, a university vet school ethics committee and the finance committee of a multi-academy trust.

Richard’s collaborative approach to management and his diplomatic skills in promoting the importance of our project both within the company and externally made it a real pleasure working with him.
