Paul joined Capital Cranfield in 2019 after a career in investment consulting and financial services.

A qualified actuary and 20 years’ experience as a lead investment consultant, latterly as a Partner within Mercer’s investment advisory business. I have considerable experience and energy and thoroughly enjoy working within a trustee board and sharing experience – always conscious that boards work by consensus so bring experience and views without dominating the debate. I have a pragmatic, open and collaborative style working with all stakeholders to deliver members’ pension promises.
Within my portfolio I have a breadth of scheme situations; both Sole Trustee as well as being a member of the Board (chairing around half of my appointments); fiduciary management as well as traditional investment consulting; working with many different advisory firms and schemes with varied funding positions, end game strategies and employer covenants.

Paul has a BA in Maths and Economics from the University of York, a qualified actuary and accredited professional pension trustee. Outside of work he designed and self-built his own home (if only he’d got past actuary to architecture in the careers book), has played international badminton and now enjoys walking and the great outdoors.
