Nicky is a fully accredited professional pension trustee who is a chartered accountant by original qualification.
She has 20 years of experience as a trustee director, chairing a large DB scheme and a significant DC trust. Nicky has led the DB trustee board through several valuations and corporate restructures, including negotiations with the overseas parent company and liaison with the Pensions Regulator. Her DC experience includes the incorporation of new subsidiaries into the main group pension plan and leading on changes to administrators, auditors and investment strategy.
Nicky trained with KPMG and since qualifying has worked in industry, gaining extensive financial leadership and board decision making experience. She has the ability to cut through complexity, identify risks and deliver solutions together with the communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Her technical expertise in statutory accounting, taxation and cash flow management enables Nicky to understand the company behind the pension scheme and to develop an effective partnership between company and pension scheme.
Outside of work Nicky volunteers as Treasurer at the local school PTA and enjoys swimming and yoga.
