Lukshmi is an experienced accredited Professional Trustee, having joined Capital Cranfield in 2017 from Deloitte LLP.

Lukshmi’ s earlier career was spent in corporate finance and restructuring, followed by 12 years as an employer covenant advisor. She joined Capital Cranfield from Deloitte LLP where she led the Scottish pensions covenant advisory practice for five years.

Lukshmi has expertise as Professional Trustee working with schemes undergoing corporate change, financial challenge or where there is Pensions Regulator involvement. She was awarded “Trustee of the Year, Rising Star” in 2019 by Professional Pensions where judged commended her for helping schemes navigate tricky challenges.

She acts as chair, co-trustee and sole trustee on schemes varying in size from £10m-£1bn+ across a range of sectors. In addition to main board appointments, Lukshmi sits on Investment and Risk and Governance sub-committees.

Lukshmi holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Cambridge University and MsC in Investment Management from Cass Business School. She is a qualified chartered accountant and an accredited professional trustee (APPT).

Outside work, she is taxi driver for her three young children and is an active member of the Scottish Children’s Hearing System.
