With over 30 years’ experience in the pensions and reward industry, Kate is a seasoned professional who previously held senior roles in FTSE-listed global companies. She has managed a wide range of defined benefit and defined contribution schemes ranging in asset size from £200m to £6bn.
As an accredited professional pension trustee, Kate is a Company-appointed Trustee Director for the Vodafone Group Pension Scheme. She also chairs the Vodafone DC Pensions Governance Committee and is Chair of the Retail Pensions Managers Group (a forum consisting of the Senior Pension leads of the UK’s largest retailers).
Kate is highly regarded for her approachable style and strategic leadership. She is pragmatic, inclusive, and aims to ensure that all scheme stakeholders work together to achieve good outcomes. She has been instrumental in developing and managing complex funding negotiations and strategies, pension buy-ins, investment strategies, captive insurance programmes, member option and communication exercises and corporate mergers. She has also developed effective policies for pension risk management, supplier management and scheme governance in the UK and Ireland.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys activities such as walking in the countryside, spending time with family, practising yoga and travelling.
