John joined Capital Cranfield in July 2018 and has over 20 years’ experience in the pensions industry.
He is a Sole Trustee Specialist, working as one of the two Professional Trustees that we assign to each case to ensure that material decisions are properly considered, advisers are challenged and there is consistency of governance, including clear audit trails, across our sole trustee portfolio.
Prior to this, John provided Scheme Secretarial Services since 2008 to a number of pension schemes and has experience of Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution and CARE schemes gained from roles with leading pensions consultancies. John managed his own portfolio of clients ranging in size from £5m to over £3bn. His strengths include advising trustees on all aspects of Scheme Governance and building good relationships with trustees, clients and advisers to benefit the operation of pension schemes.
John is an Accredited Member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees and an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute. Outside of work, John enjoys playing sports with his two children and going for walks with his dog.
