Fiona joined Capital Cranfield in 2018 after a career in the energy industry culminating as Corporate Affairs Board Director.

A lawyer by background Fiona has over 30 years pension trustee experience.

Fiona has successfully led Trustee Boards through strategic initiatives including complex funding negotiations involving overseas parent companies, end game and journey planning, managing the impact of corporate transactions on the Scheme (including flexible apportionment arrangements and scheme mergers and divestments) and governance reviews. Her corporate background enables her to appreciate the perspectives of both Trustees and Sponsors.

Her naturally collaborative and inclusive style adds cohesion to Boards whether as Chair or co-Trustee. She has a long standing interest in diversity and inclusion, having been the founding Chair of E.ON’s D&I Committee and is currently a member of the APPT sub-committee on this topic. Fiona has excellent stakeholder management skills which enables her to form strong relationships with both Trustees and sponsors and she brings her pragmatic approach to bear on discussions. She is committed to improving the governance and effectiveness of Trustee Boards for the benefit of members.

Fiona lives in Stratford Upon Avon and has always undertaken not for profit roles alongside her corporate day job. She is currently a pension Trustee of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre Pension Scheme and a Trustee of the local charity which manages Almshouses in the town and a fund for families in need.
