Sally joined Capital Cranfield in January 2021, as a member of the sole trustee team, following a 15-year career in pensions consultancy, secretarial and management.

She is a Member of The Pensions Management Institute and is accredited as a Professional Trustee by the Association of Professional Pension Trustees. She is one of the two trustees that we assign to our sole trustee cases to ensure that material decisions are properly considered, advisers are challenged and there is consistency of governance, across our sole trustee portfolio.

Sally began her career as an actuarial analyst and moved into consultancy. She has worked for a number of employee benefits firms over her career and also on an in-house pensions management team. She has built up her experience by working through a broad range of issues across defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid benefit pension scheme structures. She has built excellent relations with trustees, sponsors and third parties.

Sally has a Batchelor of Science (Ecology) from the University of Edinburgh and, outside of pensions, she has been involved in a number of local sustainability community projects. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking with her dogs, and she is also a keen equestrian.
