Russell joined Capital Cranfield in 2020 after a long career in Marketing and Business Development in Financial and Professional Services.

Russell has built up his very broad experience through a variety of roles both inside and outside of pensions. Within the industry, he has held a number of senior roles, including six years leading the business development and marketing function for a leading business advisory firm’s pensions team. Before that he worked for three years as UK Head of Marketing for a leading Employee Benefits consultancy.

Outside pension, Russell was Head of Marketing for a leading AIM-listed international business publisher and for the UK banking industry’s automated clearing house, BACS. His current role involves supporting all areas of business development including Bid responses, driving the company’s client care programme and redeveloping of the company’s website and social media presence.

Russell has a BA in Modern Languages from the University of London and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Away from the office, he has presented a fortnightly show on music history on BBC Radio London since 2009 and wrote and performed his own one-man show at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe.
