Nicki joined Capital Cranfield in 2015 following 16 years at AstraZeneca where she headed their Global Pensions and Benefits function.

She has from her time as a trustee, in corporate roles and consulting before that, over 30 years’ experience of working with and managing pension schemes. She has helped trustees and employers address most issues faced by pension schemes, ranging from corporate transactions, plan design changes, funding and investment strategies, through adviser and governance reviews, and resolving communications and operational issues.

She has practical experience of managing both Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) plans, and has set up and run governance models that cover Trust and Contract based plans. She currently chairs and sits as co-trustee on two £multi-billion DB schemes. Nicki has previously been sole Trustee on 5 DB schemes ranging in size from £50m to £1.3bn and chair of a DC Master Trust (overseeing the wind up and bulk transfer) and Co-Trustee on another DC Master Trust.

Nicki adopts an open, collaborative and practical approach to governance. She has a natural coaching style that, alongside her commercial experience, APPT Accreditation and PMI Fellowship lends itself to Trustee roles.

Nicki is someone who I really value. She is the consummate professional and is incredibly commercial in her thinking and analysis. She is a big picture thinker, but with the ability to translate things into action and delivery. She is a strong collaborator and an exceptional leader. I value and trust her judgement on all matters. She builds trust in all that she does and acts with great integrity.
